This project is a mixed-use building that is part of the first phase of a 55-acre master plan for a green and sustainable neighborhood located in the Sunnydale/Visitation Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. The project is funded by HOPE SF, a program meant to replace former federal HOPE VI funding for affordable housing.

The building program includes 150 residential units for seniors, and a ground floor geared towards the community, with uses including a cafe, a neighborhood grocery, eateries, a community health center, an early childhood education center, a police sub-station, and other community program spaces. The sloping site lends itself to below podium parking. The housing is located in two parallel wings that flank a podium courtyard for social use and gardening with views to the east. The lounge and other community spaces are adjacent to or cross the courtyard. The buildings orientation creates vistas eastward into the existing neighborhood and westward into a new community park.
